Job summary

The Kenan Advantage Group is seeking a Dispatch professional to execute daily movement plans for freight within assigned areas. This role focuses on inventory analysis, order adjustment, and ensuring on-time performance.

You will coordinate with load planners, asset specialists, and customers to optimize routes and schedules, while maintaining strong communication and teamwork in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
• Previous logistics dispatch/scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and logistics software.
• Ability to work under pressure and in teams, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, monitor, and analyze inventories for forecasted customers.
• Confirm accurate retain and runout times while maximizing payload and on-time performance by analyzing inventories and sales as information becomes available.
• Evaluate and adjust current and future orders based on driver capacity and customer demands.
• Coordinate with Asset Specialists to update known sourcing as changes occur and revise daily operating plan as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with Load Planners, Scheduling Team Leaders, and external customers on service issues.
• Solicit new and existing customers for freight opportunities.

Job Details: Job Location: 96 Atlanta GA - Duluth, GA, Position Type: Dispatch, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Salary, Job Category: Quarterly Plan, Shift:6PM - 6AM; Rotational Schedule (3 days on / 4 days off; 4 days on / 3 days off)

Position Summary

This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area.

Essential Functions

• Gather, monitor, and analyze inventories for forecasted customers
• Confirm accurate retain and runout times while maximizing payload and on-time performance by analyzing inventories and sales as information becomes available
• Evaluate and adjust current and future orders based on driver capacity and customer demands
• Coordinate with Asset Specialists to update known sourcing as changes occur and revise daily operating plan as necessary to ensure operational efficiency
• Communicate effectively with Load Planners, Scheduling Team Leaders, and external customers on service issues
• Solicit new and existing customers for freight opportunities

Qualifications: Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent business experience; degree preferred
• Previous logistics dispatch/scheduling experience preferred
• Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft and logistics application software
• Ability to solve problems and work in high pressure situations, using independent judgement and discretion
• Ability to work well in teams with staff and contractors from all departments
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Excellent personal skills and positive attitude
