Job summary

New Mexico Gas Company in New Mexico is seeking a Dispatch Service professional to coordinate daily service workloads, monitor SCADA and telemetry, and support field crews while ensuring safety and accuracy in records.

The role requires 2 years of dispatch experience for standard positions (4 years for Senior level), a High School Diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; the job is onsite with variable shifts.

• Ensures compliance with FCC rules and regulations.
• Acts as primary contact for NMGC emergency responses statewide.

The Dispatch Service position pays between $48,720 to $60,900, and the Senior Dispatch Service position pays between $55,520 and $69,400. Placement in any level is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

In this exciting role, you will address customer inquiries and emergencies, prioritize work suitable to its urgency, maintain accurate records in Banner, help with billing, and assist operations personnel with field investigations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, and dispatches daily Service workload for service technicians, line locators, construction crews, gas measurement technicians, cathodic protection crews, leak survey and other NMGC departments
• Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and performing timely updates of work order completion data within Banner system
• Monitors Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) telemetry readouts and alerts appropriate personnel of any problems.
• Prepares documents, reports, and numerous logs
• Monitors compliance with all Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and regulations
• Acts as a focal contact point for all NMGC emergency responses statewide.

*Senior Level-Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities

Successful Candidate Must Have:

• A High School Diploma or GED
• Dispatch Service: 2 years of work experience related to the duties and repsonsibilities of this or similar position
• Dispatch Service Senior: 4 years of work experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this or similar position
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Preferences: Bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or dispatch experience.

Working Conditions
Office environment. Schedule and hours/shifts vary; work may be performed at multiple locations. May be required to work overtime. Regularly required to stand and/or walk up to 1/3 of the time and sit up to 2/3 of the time. Manual dexterity required, good vision, the ability to talk and listen. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
