The candidate will help resolve delivery issues, ensure compliance with transportation policies, and contribute to overall customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily driver dispatch operations.
• Monitor driver schedules and adjust routes to optimize efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Communicate with drivers, warehouse teams, and sales staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution.
• Support driver training and compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.
• Help track and report on route performance, delays, and exceptions.
• Provide coverage and decision-making support in the Dispatch Manager’s absence.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Operations teams to maintain accurate transfer routing between branches.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Assistant Dispatch Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the dispatch team by coordinating efficient driver routing, ensuring on-time delivery, and assisting with resolving delivery-related issues. • Familiarity with DOT compliance and fleet management practices

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods and work in an office and warehouse setting
