Job summary

White Cap is seeking a Dispatch Manager to lead delivery operations in our Birmingham, Alabama area. This role oversees drivers and dispatchers, ensures safety compliance, optimizes routing, and coordinates with warehousing and sales to meet delivery commitments.

This on-site position offers strong growth in a growing company. You'll manage vehicles, maintain fleet standards, and develop regional routing knowledge while upholding White Cap's commitment to safety, reliability, and customer

Qualifications

• 7+ years of delivery/logistics management experience.
• Proficiency with routing software and fleet management.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
• Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
• Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
• Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 7+ years of experience.
