Job summary

ManpowerGroup Global Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Specialist in Logistics to support Last Mile operations in Suffolk, VA. The role entails entering loads into Freight Optimizer, monitoring pickups and deliveries, and maintaining accurate load data through driver communications.

Responsibilities

• Enter loads from customer tenders into Freight Optimizer system

• Take check calls from drivers and validate load data
• Investigate overages, shortages, and damages with documentation
• Schedule/reschedule delivery appointments and coordinate with stakeholders

Job Title:

Customer Service Specialist in Logistics

Location:

Suffolk, VA

Pay Range:

$19.00

Shift:

Monday - Saturday with an additional day off during the week (11:30am - 8:00pm)

What's the Job?

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, verifying loads arrive on time and in good condition
• Take check calls from drivers, validate load data prior to marking loads delivered, and ensure delivery expectations are met for accounting purposes
• Investigate product overages, shortages, and damages, and complete the appropriate documentation
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments, provide routing directions and instructions to drivers, and coordinate timely communication with customers and internal stakeholders

What's Needed?

• 1 year of logistics experience
• General knowledge of the transportation industry
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate operational records
