Job summary

The role interacts with customers, customer service, sales and operations staff, and requires 1–2 years in dispatch or customer service, plus strong communication skills. Qualifications

• Completion of high school; post-secondary courses or diploma would be asset.
• 1–2 years in a transportation, dispatch or customer service role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer focus.
• Proven ability to multi-task & prioritize tasks.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Advanced computer skills with software applications and word processing accuracy.
• Extended hours including occasional weekends.
• TRUX experience preferred or ability to learn TRUX system.
• Additional training in transportation, logistics, or related area; call center customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule service and satisfy customer needs for service changes.
• Dispatch calls to routes based upon designated route and driver location.
• Perform driver check-ins at day’s end for complete paperwork.
• Review route sheets for end-of-day data entry.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve service issues.
• May perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Operations Manager.
• Interact with customers, customer service, sales and Operations staff.
• Work with routing specialists to optimize routes.
• Field incoming calls/emails from customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve potential delivery and pickup issues.
