Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with post-secondary coursework considered an asset.
• 1–2 years in transportation, dispatch, or customer service roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customer focus.
• Must work extended hours including occasional weekends; proficient typing.
• Advanced computer skills and ability to learn dispatch software.

Responsibilities

• Schedule service and coordinates changes to satisfy customer needs.
• Dispatch calls to routes based on driver location and route plans.
• Perform driver check-ins and ensure proper end-of-day paperwork.
• Review route sheets for accurate data entry and data quality.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve service issues.
• Interact with customers, sales, and operations staff to resolve problems.
• Collaborate with routing specialists to optimize routes and staffing.
• Handle incoming calls and emails from customers and field staff.
• Troubleshoot delivery/pickup issues before they escalate.
• Assist in determining daily driver staffing for responsiveness and productivity.
• Record driver information and distribute to relevant teams.
• Communicate with maintenance shop personnel as needed.
