Job summary

EDSI is seeking an Employment Counselor for its RESEA program in Texas. The role provides individualized support to dislocated workers identified through RESEA, Rapid Response, and unemployment benefits, guiding them toward employment and career advancement.

Responsibilities include outreach, eligibility screening, documentation, and collaboration with community partners to ensure effective referrals and customized service plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Case management experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Experience in a team-oriented environment.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite and other required locations.

Responsibilities

• Identify long-term unemployed dislocated workers and UC claimants through RESEA and related programs.
• Provide targeted outreach and customize career services presentations.
• Coordinate with community partners to create a seamless referral system.
• Screen eligibility, assist with dislocated worker documents and registration.
• Counsel and support participants toward customized career pathways and training.
• Maintain participant files and document interactions and case notes.
• Prepare enrollment documentation and develop customized service plans.
• Follow up with partners to ensure engagement in services.
• Deliver program data and reports in real-time.
