The New Orleans Tribune is seeking a part-time Dishwasher/Steward for Sodexo Live! at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans, LA. You will keep back-of-house areas clean, sanitize surfaces, and support food service operations for events and daily service.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work nights and weekends, and adapt to varying schedules. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous stewarding or sanitation experience is a plus.

• Assist with organization and proper storage of equipment, supplies, and service ware.
• Handle waste, recycling, and grease removal in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain floors, drains, and work surfaces to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements..

Location: We are seeking Dishwashers / Stewards for the American Sector Restaurant & Catering at the National WWII Museum.

We have FREE Parking, close to public transportation and Street Car.

We are closed all major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Mardi Gras Day!

As a Dishwasher / Steward at Sodexo, you will support food service operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized back-of-house environment. This role is responsible for sanitation, warewashing, equipment care, and overall cleanliness of the kitchen and service support areas. Stewards play a critical role in supporting restaurants, banquets, concessions, premium services, and catering operations by ensuring workspaces are properly maintained and ready for service.

Stewards work under the direction of the Steward Supervisor and support daily operations as well as event-driven service demands. Responsibilities may vary based on unit size, service models, and operational needs.

Other requirements include but are not limited to:

Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight.

Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
