Job summary

Oakmont of San Jose, part of Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Dishwasher in a premier senior living community in California. The role supports meal services by preparing dish areas, transporting and sanitizing ware, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and resident-focused service. Shifts run 6am-2pm Tuesday through Saturday with a pay range of $18.50-$19.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prefer six (6) months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Health Screening tests including TB tests.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check.
• Interact effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
• Vaccination/PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes. Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils. Return clean dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
• Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up. Sanitize dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empty the trash.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
