Job summary

Oakmont of San Jose, a premier senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Dishwasher to support meal service by preparing the dish area, transporting and sanitizing dishes, and aiding kitchen cleanup with a focus on safety and resident satisfaction.

The role requires at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and health screenings, including TB tests.

Qualifications

• Prefer six months of experience in a kitchen or dishwashing.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required to prevent spread of diseases per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes. Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils. Return clean dishes and utensils to storage areas.
• Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up; general sanitation of dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests per safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
