The Firehouse Restaurant is seeking a Dishwasher/Prep Cook to support kitchen operations under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Chef De Cuisine. You will assist with food prep, cook tasks, and keep dishes, utensils, and surfaces clean to ensure smooth service.

This role emphasizes sanitation, proper stock rotation, inventory support, and a team-oriented attitude. Candidate should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of cooking experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food preparation techniques.
• Basic dish machine operations.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Executive Chef and Chef De Cuisine, the Dishwasher/Prep Cook is responsible for supporting the kitchen operations by performing a range of food preparation and cleaning tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with food prep and cooking tasks as needed.
• Measure and weigh ingredients to ensure accuracy.
• Store food items properly and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Assist with inventory and stocking supplies.

Requirements

TECHNICAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 1 year of cooking experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Lifting/moving up to 50lbs required.
• Working knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of all kitchen cleaning supplies and chemicals and their uses required.
• Knowledge of basic dish machine operations.
