Alterra Mountain Company is hiring a dependable dishwasher to support the kitchen team at Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Idaho. This full-time seasonal role focuses on maintaining cleanliness of dishes, glassware, and utensils, ensuring a safe and organized kitchen, and contributing to a positive guest experience.

You will work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment, follow health and safety regulations, stand up to 8 hours, and may assist with basic food prep while striving for

• Technical- Basic kitchen and cooking skills preferred
• Physical Capabilities- Stand for up to 8 hours per shift; lift 25–50 lbs

Responsabilités

• Scrape, wash, and sanitize all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dishwashing area for staff access.
• Keep floors and surfaces free of spills by sweeping/mopping.
• Regularly empty trash and recycling.
• Assist with basic food prep or receiving deliveries.
• Monitor dishwashing machine temperature and chemical levels.
• Report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Adhere to health, safety, and food-handling regulations.

Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment using machine and manual cleaning methods. This role ensures the kitchen and dishwashing areas are clean, safe, and organized, supporting overall kitchen operations and contributing to a positive dining experience. Must be willing to work as a part of a team to assure an enjoyable working environment, and quality guest experience. It is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking and reliable individual who is a team player and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

• Scrape, wash, and sanitize all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand.


• Maintain a clean and orderly dishwashing area, ensuring all cleaned items are properly stored and accessible for kitchen and serving staff.


• Keep floors and surfaces free of spills and debris by sweeping and mopping floors.


• Regularly emptying trash and recycling.


• Assist with general kitchen duties by assisting with basic food prep or receiving deliveries.


• Monitor dishwashing machine for proper temperature and chemical levels, reporting any malfunctions or issues to a supervisor immediately.


• Adhere to all health, safety, and food handling regulations to ensure a safe work environment for all team members.


• Be a team player and help both back of house and front of house staff.

Specific Job Skills:

• License/Certifications- Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided)


• Technical- Basic kitchen and cooking skills preferred


• Physical Capabilities- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift. Lifting 25lbs up to 50lbs


• Additional- Worksite is 100% inside and you will be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.
