Schweitzer in Sandpoint, Idaho is seeking a dedicated Seasonal Dishwasher to support our kitchen and dining teams. You’ll keep dishes, glassware, and utensils clean and sanitized, ensuring smooth operation and a positive guest experience.

Work is seasonal, with both full-time and part-time shifts available. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and sanitation, and comes with perks like housing options and access to employee benefits.

Qualifications

• License/Certifications - Idaho Food Safety Certification is preferred
• Physical Capabilities - Able to stand/walk for whole shift, lift up to 50 lbs
• Education/Related Experience - English reading, writing and communication

Responsabilités

• Clean and sanitize dishware using dishwashing equipment and handwashing for delicate items
• Maintain steady workflow by ensuring a steady supply of clean items
• Monitor and restock supplies such as detergents and sanitizers
• Follow safety and sanitation standards and wear non-slip shoes
• Support team and keep tables and areas clean and organized
• Assist with food prep and other duties as assigned

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment using machine and manual cleaning methods. This role ensures the kitchen and dishwashing areas are clean, safe, and organized, supporting overall kitchen operations and contributing to a positive dining experience. Must be willing to work as a part of a team to assure an enjoyable working environment, and quality guest experience.

Essential Functions And Major Responsibilities

• Clean and Sanitize Dishware: Operate dishwashing equipment and handwash delicate items to ensure all dishes, glassware, and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintain Steady Workflow: Keep a consistent flow of clean items available to support restaurant operations, prioritizing essential items for quick turnaround.
• Monitor and Restock Supplies: Track levels of detergents, sanitizers, and cleaning solutions, restocking proactively to avoid disruptions.
• Follow Safety and Sanitation Standards: Adhere to food safety protocols, ensure proper sanitization levels, and wear non-slip shoes at all times.
• Support Team and Cleanliness: Assist staff as needed, clean and reset tables, and keep floors and surfaces free of spills and debris.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist with food prep
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills

License/Certifications - Idaho Food Safety Certification is preferred

Additional - Worksite is 100% inside and you will be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards. All sensory skills needed.
