Job summary

Oakmont of San Jose is seeking a Dishwasher to support meals for residents and ensure dishes are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and compassionate service within a senior living environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months of kitchen or similar setting experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Written and verbal communication with staff, supervisors, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including TB).
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meals; wash and sanitize; return to storage.
• Assist with kitchen cleanup and sanitation; empty trash.
• Respond to resident concerns in a professional manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.
