Out West Restaurant Group is hiring for a Back of House role in California. You will help keep the kitchen moving, assist with dishwashing and sanitation, and support food safety standards to ensure a smooth operation.

The position pays $16.90–$17.00 per hour, non-exempt, with benefits like ACA-compliant health insurance, paid sick leave, and a paid day off after 90 days. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred for customer and team communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ year BOH experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in hot/cold environments.
• Able to stand and move for extended periods and work quickly.

Responsibilities

• Ensures smooth kitchen operations by keeping dishwashing areas organized.
• Manages tasks to maintain kitchen workflow and sanitation.
• Follows all food safety guidelines and handles cleaning duties as needed.
• Restocks kitchen and cooking lines throughout the shift.
• Operates dish machines safely and maintains proper chemical handling.
• Keeps floors clean and dry; washes, sanitizes, and stores wares.
• Maintains receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to health standards.
• Reports unsafe practices and supports restaurant teamwork across areas.
