Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group is hiring for a Back of House role at our California location. You will support kitchen operations, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure a consistent dining experience for every guest.

Preferred candidates have 1+ year BOH experience and may be bilingual in English and Spanish. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in hot/cold environments is required. Training, growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ year BOH experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems.
• Visual ability to work in variable lighting conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures smooth and steady kitchen operations by keeping dishwashing areas organized.
• Manages tasks efficiently to maintain kitchen workflow.
• Follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Restocks kitchen and cooking line as needed throughout the shift.
• Performs routine cleaning of the kitchen and assists with general cleaning tasks as needed.
• Keeps the floors clean and dry.
• Maintains and inspects food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise.
