Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group in Covina, CA is hiring for a Back of House position at $16.90–$17.00 per hour, non-exempt. You will support kitchen operations, including dishwashing, stocking, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced Outback-themed environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year BOH experience in full-service restaurant preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in hot/cold environments.
• California-based position compliant with wage and hour laws.

Responsibilities

• Ensures smooth and steady kitchen operations by keeping dishwashing areas organized.
• Manages tasks efficiently to maintain kitchen workflow.
• Follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Restocks kitchen and cooking line as needed throughout the shift.
• Performs routine cleaning of the kitchen and assists with general cleaning tasks as needed.
• Keeps floors clean and dry; ensures proper washing, sanitizing, and storage of dishes.
• Maintains and inspects food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure health and safety regulations.
• Corrects unsafe practices or conditions and notifies management.
• Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise.
