Job summary

Walters Hospitality in New Braunfels, TX is seeking a hardworking and positive Dishwasher for events. You’ll assist with washing, loading and unloading the dishwasher, hand-washing when needed, and keeping the kitchen area clean and organized.

We value teamwork and reliability. Requirements include 18+, Texas Food Handlers license, ability to lift 30 lbs, and background check. You must be available on weekends/evenings for events. Pay is $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role with comparable responsibilities preferred.
• Education: Texas Food Handlers license required in Texas.
• Physical: Able to lift 30 lbs frequently; stand/walk 8-12 hours.
• Other: Submit to a background check; must be 18+ and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes during events and ensure a steady supply of clean china and glassware.
• Load and unload the dishwasher; hand wash items as needed.
• Store cleaned kitchenware safely and keep the area tidy.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with HACCP standards in kitchen areas.
• Work as part of a team and adapt to a fast-paced event environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Working as a Dishwasher during events.
• Collect used kitchenware, china, and glassware and load and unload the dishwasher. Hand wash items as necessary.
• Store cleaned kitchenware, china, and glassware appropriately.
• Ensure there are enough cleaned dishes at all times especially during peak service time.
• Remove garbage regularly.
• Sanitize the kitchen area including the floors.
• Ensure compliance HACCP within the kitchen areas.
• Exhibiting a teamwork atmosphere.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and the ability to work a variety of nights/weekends.
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Applicable Work History and Food Handlers license required in Texas
• Physical: Able to lift 30 lbs frequently, stand/walk 8-12 hours
• Other: Submit to a background check, must be 18 years old, have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Schedule:

• Part-Time: Weekends and Evenings when events take place
  • Must be available and willing to work weekends, holidays, late nights
• Hourly: $18 per hour
