Job summary

Walters Hospitality in College Station is seeking a hardworking dishwasher to support events and keep service running smoothly.

You'll wash, collect, and store kitchenware, help maintain cleanliness, and ensure rapid turnaround during peak times. A Texas Food Handlers license and at least 1 year of similar experience are required; be prepared for weekend/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a similar role with comparable responsibilities.
• Food handlers license required in Texas.
• Lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk 8-12 hours.
• Background check; must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing during events.
• Collect used kitchenware; load/unload dishwasher; hand wash as needed.
• Store cleaned kitchenware appropriately.
• Ensure enough cleaned dishes during peak service times.
• Remove garbage; sanitize kitchen area.
• Ensure HACCP compliance in kitchen areas.
• Exhibit teamwork; maintain flexible schedule for nights/weekends.

What You’ll Do

• Working as a Dishwasher during events.
• Collect used kitchenware, china, and glassware and load and unload the dishwasher. Hand wash items as necessary.
• Store cleaned kitchenware, china, and glassware appropriately.
• Ensure there are enough cleaned dishes at all times especially during peak service time.
• Remove garbage regularly.
• Sanitize the kitchen area including the floors.
• Ensure compliance HACCP within the kitchen areas.
• Exhibiting a teamwork atmosphere.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and the ability to work a variety of nights/weekends.
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role with comparable responsibilities preferred.
• Education: Applicable Work History and Food Handlers license required in Texas.
• Physical: Able to lift 30 lbs frequently, stand/walk 8-12 hours.
• Other: Submit to a background check, must be 18 years old, have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Compensation & Schedule

• Part-Time: Weekends and Evenings when events take place.
• Must be available and willing to work weekends, holidays, late nights.
• Hourly: $15-18 per hour.
• 401k with 4% Match.
