Job summary

Walters Hospitality is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support events with a clean, organized kitchen. You will handle washing, loading, and storing dishware, while helping maintain sanitary conditions and HACCP compliance.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of dishwashing experience, a Texas Food Handler license, and the ability to lift 30 lbs and stand long hours. Flexible weekends and evenings are required for this role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of dishwasher experience in a similar setting.
• Texas Food Handler license required.
• Able to lift 30 lbs frequently and stand 8–12 hours.
• Must be 18+ and pass a background check with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes and load/unload the dishwasher during events.
• Store cleaned kitchenware and keep inventory during peak service.
• Sanitize the kitchen and floors; ensure HACCP compliance.
• Exhibit a teamwork atmosphere and maintain flexibility for nights/weekends.
• Maintain a fast-paced, efficient kitchen environment.

Job description

What You'll Do:

• Working as a Dishwasher during events.
• Collect used kitchenware, china, and glassware and load and unload the dishwasher. Hand wash items as necessary.
• Store cleaned kitchenware, china, and glassware appropriately.
• Ensure there are enough cleaned dishes at all times especially during peak service time.
• Remove garbage regularly.
• Sanitize the kitchen area including the floors.
• Ensure compliance HACCP within the kitchen areas.
• Exhibiting a teamwork atmosphere.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and the ability to work a variety of nights/weekends.
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role with comparable responsibilities preferred
• Education: Applicable Work History and Food Handlers license required in Texas
• Physical: Able to lift 30 lbs frequently, stand/walk 8-12 hours
• Other: Submit to a background check, must be 18 years old, have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Schedule:

• Part-Time: Weekends and Evenings when events take place
  • Must be available and willing to work weekends, holidays, late nights
• Hourly: $18 per hour
