Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dependable Stewarding Assistant to support the Stewarding Supervisor and Restaurant Outlets. You will sort, wash, and organize soiled ware, maintain dish machine operations, and help keep kettles and silverware polished to support kitchen and dining room teams.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy items, with flexible attendance to meet hotel needs. This is a full-time on-site position at our Virginia Beach property.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain same to complement guest experience.
• Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 150 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to transport heavy objects through a crowded room with or without accommodation.
• Ability to grasp, lift and carry or move goods on a hand cart weighing up to 200lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Stewarding Supervisor and Restaurant Outlets in cleaning and organizing the Food and Beverage Outlets.
• Sort soiled ware for dish or pot machines; wash and return items.
• Maintain high activity levels and physical stamina.
• Keep dish machines clean and filled according to hotel standards.
• Polish silverware and de-tarnish as needed.
• Assist cooks by ensuring clean kettles, skillets, pots and pans.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available as required.
