Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Stewarding Associate at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront property to assist in cleaning and organizing Food and Beverage outlets. The role supports the Stewarding Supervisor and restaurant outlets in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency on busy shifts.

The position requires physical strength, ability to lift heavy items, and strong communication skills to coordinate with cooks and team members.

Qualifications

• Ability to push/pull service carts up to 150 pounds.
• Ability to transport heavy objects through a crowded room.
• Ability to lift up to 200lbs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist Stewarding Supervisor and Restaurant Outlets in the cleaning and organizing of the Food and Beverage Outlets.
• Sort soiled ware and run it through the dish or pot machine; replace in storage areas as designated.
• Maintain high physical activity with consistent performance.
• Keep dish machine clean and filled with water per hotel standards.
• Operate burnishing machine to finish silverware; de-tarnish and polish as needed.
• Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly for cooks.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
