Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts, overseeing The Historic Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club in Virginia Beach, seeks a Stewarding Assistant to support dishwashing and outlet cleaning tasks. You will help maintain cleanliness in Food & Beverage areas and ensure proper handling of wares and equipment.

Responsibilities include washing, polishing silver, and assisting cooks while maintaining reliable attendance. This on-site role requires physical stamina and strong teamwork within a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain it to complement guest experience.
• Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 150 pounds with accommodation.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 200 lbs with accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled ware and run it through the dish or pot machine properly.
• Wash ware quickly and replace in storage areas as designated.
• Maintain physical strength and stamina to meet high activity levels.
• Keep dish machine clean and filled with water per standards.
• De-tarnish and polish silverware for proper appearance.
• Assist kitchen staff by cleaning kettles and pots promptly.
• Attend work reliably and perform other duties as assigned.
