Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts in the United States seeks an Assistant Stewarding role to support the Stewarding Supervisor and restaurant outlets by cleaning and organizing Food and Beverage areas.

The position emphasizes physical stamina, adherence to hotel standards, and efficient dishwashing operations with attention to cleanliness and safety. You will help keep wares polished, equipment ready, and workspaces orderly to assist cooks and service staff.

Qualifications

• Push/pull service carts up to 150 pounds with/without accommodation.
• Transport heavy objects through a crowded room with/without accommodation.
• Lift and carry items on a hand cart up to 200 lbs with/without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Adapt communication style for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled ware for machine processing.
• Wash ware and replace in storage areas.
• Maintain physical strength for high activity.
• Keep dish machine clean and filled with water.
• Operate burnishing machine for silverware finish.
• Polish silver to remove tarnish.
• Clean kettles and pans promptly so cooks can work.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be reliable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
