Job summary

Pizza Inn is seeking a dependable entry-level dishwasher to join our kitchen team. You will clean and sanitize dishes, maintain the dish washing area, and support the kitchen staff as needed. This role requires organization, flexibility, and a good sense of urgency in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Typical shifts are on-site with a focus on teamwork and reliability. Training will be provided to ensure consistent, high-quality cleanliness and efficiency in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes and small wares; return clean items to proper locations.
• Maintain dish machine; report defects and clean thoroughly.
• Remove trash from kitchen and place in dumpster.
• Keep dish area clean and organized; assist in kitchen as needed.
• Assist in other areas of the restaurant when required.
• Complete opening and/or closing checklists.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleans soiled dishes and small wares. Returns clean and sanitized dishes to proper locations.
• Maintains dish machine. Ensures it is operating correctly. Reports any defects immediately. Cleans and polishes machine thoroughly on a regular basis.
• Removes trash from kitchen and places trash in dumpster.
• Keeps dish area clean and organized.
• Assists in kitchen where needed.
• Assists in other areas of the restaurant when needed.
• Completes opening and/or closing checklists.
• Other duties as assigned by Company Management.

Physical Demands

Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and carry dish racks weighing up to 40 pounds on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
