Job summary

COTE Korean Steakhouse in the Miami Design District is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to support a carnivorous vision of Korean BBQ with classic American steakhouse service. You will help maintain a pristine kitchen and dining area, including dish pits, grills, and glassware, while supporting other stations as needed.

Candidates must read and communicate in English, possess strong organizational skills, and work professionally under pressure in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• Must read, speak, understand, and follow written and verbal directions in English.
• Must be reachable by email and able to communicate by phone.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and breaks down work stations including the dish slide before and after each shift.
• Cleans and sanitizes all areas and surfaces of the restaurant and exterior.
• Polishes glass, metal, and shiny surfaces to a perfect shine.
• Collects wares and supplies and turns them into Management or Sous Chefs.
• Cleans and sanitizes all restaurant equipment including ice machines, refrigerators, stoves, ovens, fryers, and dishwashers.
• Cleans and sanitizes dirty glassware, flatware, and kitchenware.
• Maintains dining room grills and polishes brass surfaces.
• Removes defective items and informs management.
• Ensures no watermarks or debris remain on products.
• Polishes grill rims and kitchen pots/pans with metal polish.
• Polishes glassware before restocking in dining room.
• Performs trash sorting and maintains cleanliness of the dish pit.
• Descales and cleans dishwashing equipment as directed.
• Uses chemicals only as directed by manufacturer.
• Completes side work related to setup/breakdown.
• Reports to shifts on time in uniform and ready to work.
• Responsible for training new employees as assigned.
• Maintains restrooms during service and restocking supplies.
• Assists other stations as requested by management.
