The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Lead Dish Room Attendant to support the UHD dining unit on UT Main Campus. You will assist the dining supervisor with daily dish room operations, ensure proper cleaning and sanitation, and help train staff to uphold high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities include managing dish room tasks, maintaining equipment, and coordinating breaks and shift coverage. A focus on food safety training and adherence to university policies is essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of commercial cleaning experience.
• Experience training and leading staff in a restaurant, commercial, or institutional facility.
• Ability to complete and maintain Food Safety Training. (Texas Food Handler Safety)

Responsibilities

• Assist dining supervisor with overseeing the dish room operations and ensuring daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks are completed.
• Maintain cleanliness per sanitation guidelines; manage equipment and supplies; escalate repairs as needed.
• Train staff in sanitation techniques and support in staff scheduling while maintaining productivity.
• Adhere to University and UHD policies, complete required safety trainings, and follow PPE guidelines.
