University Housing and Dining at UT Austin seeks a Lead Dish Room Attendant to assist the dining supervisor in overseeing the dish room operations during busy meal periods. You will manage daily cleaning tasks, process dishware, and ensure sanitation standards are met.

Key qualifications include 1+ years in commercial cleaning, experience with dish machines, and ability to train staff while maintaining productivity.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in commercial cleaning.
• Experience with commercial dish machines.
• Experience training and leading staff in a restaurant, commercial, or institutional facility.
• Ability to complete and maintain Food Safety Training.
• Texas Food Handler Safety training.

Responsibilities

• Assist dining supervisor with overseeing dish room area.
• Ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks for dish room area.
• Process dishware, sort silverware, wash pots/pans, and scrape/stack dishes throughout meal period.
• Replenish and move dishes to the proper place within the unit.
• Maintain the dish machine, conveyor belts, and transport equipment.
• Set up and break down the dish room daily and ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Train staff in proper sanitation techniques while maintaining productivity.
