Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Dining Supervisor to manage daily dining room operations and lead service staff on the UT Main Campus. Under UHD leadership you will ensure safe, efficient, guest-focused service while upholding UHD 5-Star standards and coordinating with the Assistant/General Manager.

Responsibilities include supervising shifts, inventory, staff onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews; fostering teamwork, safety, and quality; and supporting events and promotional

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Two years of food service experience in a restaurant, commercial, or institutional facility.
• One year of supervisor experience in food service or similar capacity.
• Experience with operating standard kitchen equipment.
• Ability to complete and maintain Food Safety Training required by University Housing and Dining.
• Ability to complete and maintain University Housing and Dining cash handling training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day dining room and service floor operations to ensure timely, clean, and high-quality service.
• Supervise full-time, part-time, and student staff and provide coaching and feedback.
• Champion a customer-first approach and interact with guests to resolve concerns.
• Support onboarding, training, attendance, and staff development across shifts.
