Job summary

Groovin' Gourmets in Richmond is hiring a kitchen helper to support our catering team for corporate functions, weddings, and events. This full-time role offers a starting wage of $15/hr, with holidays, sick time, vacation, and other benefits.

You will manage dishwashing, waste removal, and basic surface cleaning, helping keep the kitchen orderly and efficient. We value punctuality, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced kitchen.

What You Will Be Doing

• Empty trash bins, collect and remove waste from the floor and work surfaces, separate recyclables and properly dispose of grease.
• Run the commercial grade dishwasher, including using the sink sprayer, a lever-operated washing unit and a drying station.
• Manually clean a variety of surfaces, including scrubbing debris off pots and wiping down surfaces.
• Additional support kitchen staff, as needed.
