Job summary

Trolley Gourmets is the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, a Richmond-based group serving the Hampton Roads region. This part-time role focuses on warehouse operations and supporting catering events, with potential transition to full-time.

You’ll organize supplies, load and secure equipment, and assist with last-minute tasks and occasional event deliveries. We value a proactive, detail-oriented mindset and flexibility on weekends.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Catering, event, or hospitality background a plus.
• Knowledge of catering terminology a plus.
• Able to frequently bend, stoop and lift (up to 50lbs).
• Experience using hand trucks or pallet jacks beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Organize and stage supplies and equipment for catering events.
• Load box trucks and vans with staged supplies, ensuring items are loaded and secured.
• Coordinate with service and sales departments on supply issues and substitutions.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse and store equipment properly.
• Handle miscellaneous tasks such as picking up linens or last minute supplies.
• Occasionally deliver simple catering orders to events or assist with setup.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Organize and stage supplies and equipment for catering events
• Load box trucks and vans with staged supplies, ensuring that the correct items are loaded and properly secured
• Communicate with the service and sales departments on supply issues and coordinate substitutions
• Confirm that returning items from events are clean and in good working order and return them to the warehouseMaintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse, ensuring that equipment is protected and stored properly
• Be the go-to for miscellaneous needs such as picking up linens at the dry cleaners, filling up gas in trucks, picking up last minute supplies at the grocery store, or even making emergency supply runs to events
• On occasion, deliver simple catering orders to a location, which sometimes requires minor event setup

What You Bring to the Table:

• Warehouse or similar experience preferred
• Previous catering, event, or hospitality background a plus
• Knowledge of catering terminology a plus
• Able to frequently bend, stoop and lift (up to 50lbs)
• Experience using hand trucks or pallet jacks
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Available weekends
