Job summary

Pocketbook Agency is seeking a highly organized Personal Assistant to support a private individual in Oakland, CA. This in-person role requires discretion, hands-on support, and the ability to manage day-to-day household logistics with attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will handle errands, coordinate dietary needs, assist with events, and adapt to shifting priorities, including occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as needed. Start ASAP and reliable transportation are important.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Personal Assistant or Household Manager
• Onsite in Oakland, Monday–Friday
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional, discreet, and trustworthy
• Available to start immediately
• Willing to travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day personal errands including pickups and dry cleaning
• Coordinate household food and dietary needs, including food subscription service
• Support event planning and execution
• Respond to texts and emails outside business hours
• Anticipate household needs and address tasks proactively
• Provide hands-on support to ensure the household runs smoothly
