Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; associate degree with 2+ years of related claims experience acceptable.
• 4-year high school diploma with 4 years of related claims experience accepted.
• Equivalency that combines education and experience may satisfy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Search for records maintained in the ordinary course of the agency's business.
• Manage a case load of varying matters pertaining to claims against the City of New York and specific agencies.
• Monitor court due dates and ensure records produced are legally and factually accurate.
• Follow project processes and assist with larger initiatives as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university and two years of full-time satisfactory experience investigating and/or settling claims for personal injury or property damage or loss

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and four years of full-time satisfactory experience investigating and/or settling claims for personal injury or property damage or loss

A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to 1, 2 or 3 above
