SSR is seeking a Discipline Operations Manager to lead staffing across projects and mentor sub-groups for growth and accountability.

You will collaborate with Project Managers to ensure the right skill mix, oversee QA/QC and performance cycles, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires a professional engineer with extensive consulting experience and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Registered technical professional with extensive engineering experience.
• 5+ years in a consulting engineering firm.
• Proficient in discipline expertise and project oversight.
• Active licensure/record with applicable board (NCEES or equivalent).
• Experience managing small to mid-scale projects across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Allocate weekly hours and staffing across projects in collaboration with other OPS leaders.
• Mentor sub-group members and foster growth and accountability.
• Set expectations, provide feedback, and conduct evaluations for performance gaps.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure staffing, skill mix, and onboarding.
• Oversee QA/QC, resolve complex design issues, and advise teams and clients.
• Drive process improvements and maintain effective inter-discipline coordination.
