Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Admin Tech discharge lounge attendant to assist patients after discharge and help transport them to their vehicles. You will engage patients to ensure a positive experience and collaborate with inpatient units to promote patient flow.

The role requires basic patient care tasks, strong communication, and adherence to infection control policies. Opportunities for growth exist within a supportive healthcare system.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current student in a relevant field: Medical Assistant, EMT-B, CNA, PCT or one year of health care experience.
• CPR - Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care responsibilities, including vital signs, skin care, and personal care.
• Maintains patient rooms in a clean and neat manner and restocks areas as directed.
• Demonstrates Hourly Rounding behaviors.
• Collects and labels specimens and transports them according to policy.
• Follows standard infection control policies and procedures.
• Assists with admission, orientation, ambulation, discharge preparation, and patient transport.
