Job summary

Corewell Health’s Discharge Lounge in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Nurse Tech to support the discharge process. You will work with the RN team to identify patients, assist with discharge procedures, and help transport patients to their transportation.

The role focuses on adult patients and occasional pediatrics. Responsibilities include maintaining EPIC lists, aiding patients with belongings, answering questions, and ensuring smooth transitions to post-hospital care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an EPIC patient list to identify appropriate discharge candidates.
• Collaborate with bedside RN team to assess patient needs at discharge.
• Assist patients with gathering belongings and preparing for discharge.
• Transport patients from the hospital to their transportation.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
