Job summary

Rotech Healthcare Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Hospital Liaison to serve as a vital link between hospital staff and our home care services. You’ll coordinate discharge planning and ensure timely delivery of respiratory and DME equipment at the point of discharge.

You will educate patients and caregivers on proper equipment use, maintain accurate documentation, and support field work as needed. The role offers Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm with a potential bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with medical equipment or healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing and insurance reimbursement preferred.
• Background in medical administration and record management.
• At least three years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient discharges with hospital case managers, social workers, nurses, and physicians.
• Ensure timely delivery and setup of respiratory and DME equipment at discharge.
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper equipment use and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation including referrals, insurance verification, delivery tickets, and logs.
• Support emergency equipment needs and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to meet standards.
• Maintain relationships with hospital staff as a trusted discharge planning resource.
• Provide in-service training and CEU programs as needed.
• Represent the company at trade shows and events.
• Travel to patient homes for equipment setup and follow-up using a company vehicle.
