The Jeffcoat Firm in Columbia, SC is seeking an entry-level Disbursement Assistant to support the Disbursement team with settlement and payment processing. This position reports to the Disbursement Manager and collaborates with Coordinators to keep cases moving smoothly.

You’ll need a high school diploma, strong communication and writing skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The role is full-time in-office with a structured workflow, attention to detail, and a competitive hourly wage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send Letters of Representation to appropriate subrogation entities at case opening
• Document confirmations and lien acknowledgments within the firm’s case management system
• Prepare and process provider payment documentation in accordance with firm standards and timelines
• Assist with provider balance verifications related to medical billing
• Track verification activity and maintain updated documentation within the case management system
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping and adherence to established workflows and compliance procedures
