Job summary

The Jeffcoat Firm seeks a Disbursement Coordinator to move settled cases through the disbursement process and remove roadblocks, while feeding back issues to the Disbursement Specialist.

Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm in Columbia, SC. The role requires at least a high school diploma, strong writing and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; prior law firm disbursement or litigation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Disbursement or law firm experience preferred.
• Litigation experience with a law firm or claims experience preferred.
• Experience with auto accidents or injury claims preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Move settled cases through the disbursement process.
• Remove roadblocks to disbursement.
• Document actions and communications in the client file.
• Provide feedback to the Disbursement Specialist for disbursement issues.
• Meet KPIs for time-to-disbursement and fee targets.
• Attend required morning and monthly meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
