Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Community Disaster Program Manager to coordinate disaster cycle services, mobilize volunteers, and engage partners in the assigned geographic area. You will lead efforts to ensure community readiness, response, and recovery while aligning with the organization’s mission.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience building and sustaining volunteer teams, with a valid driver's license and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience leading and developing volunteer teams to execute a social services program.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for disaster cycle services across the assigned geographic area.
• Coordinate efforts to mobilize partners with specialized expertise and assets for readiness, response, and recovery.
• Act as Red Cross subject matter expert to maximize presence, community engagement, and mobilization.
• Initiate and coordinate disaster relief operations in alignment with the Disaster Cycle Services concepts.
