Job summary

Tetra Tech seeks an experienced Data Analyst for the Disaster Recovery Cadre (Finance) to support FEMA Public Assistance and related programs. You will develop accurate, defendable cost estimates for infrastructure restoration and emergency work, evaluating damaged facilities and documenting scopes for funding eligibility.

This on-call, as-needed role may involve remote, field-based, or hybrid deployments across the United States, supporting a range of disasters with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction estimating, engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience developing conceptual to detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials and construction costs.
• Familiar with modern construction practices, project scope development and inspections.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster programs with scoping, damage assessment, and estimating.
• Prepare bottom-up cost estimates and analyses for public infrastructure projects.
• Review engineering reports, plans, and cost documentation for accuracy.
• Support cost validation, reasonableness determinations, and documentation reviews.
• Provide estimating expertise to project managers and applicants; participate in planning discussions.
