Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Data Analyst for the Disaster Recovery Cadre to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs. You will develop defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration and related work.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and program staff, producing clear documentation and analyses to help funding decisions. This on-call role may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in construction estimating, engineering, architecture, or related discipline.
• Experience creating conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Familiar with modern construction practices, facility assessments, project scope development.
• Collaborative work within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Willingness to travel for field assignments.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating.
• Conduct site inspections to document damages and restoration needs.
• Evaluate project scope, means and methods, and restoration approaches.
• Assist with developing and validating disaster recovery project scopes.
• Collaborate with applicants, engineers, architects, contractors, and staff to define eligible work.
