Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced Cost Estimators to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs across the United States. You will develop accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects, while preparing documentation suitable for audit and program review.

This on-call, as-needed role may be remote, field-based, or hybrid.

Qualifications

• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
• Experience with disaster recovery programs, FEMA Public Assistance, or related regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates for disaster recovery projects.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and general conditions cost estimates.
• Estimate costs for repair, restoration, reconstruction, mitigation, and replacement projects.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, drainage systems, parks, and other public infrastructure.
• Develop and document cost estimates that are clear, defensible, and audit-ready.
