Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support disaster recovery initiatives, including FEMA Public Assistance and other programs. This on-call, as-needed role may involve remote, field-based, or hybrid assignments across the United States.

The position emphasizes building accurate, defensible estimates and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to restore infrastructure after disasters.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in construction estimating, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices and project scope development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating for disaster recovery.
• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for diverse projects.
• Review plans, proposals, and documentation to support cost validation and eligibility.
• Develop and document cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and other infrastructure.
• Support FEMA PA processes and audit-ready estimate documentation.
