Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs across the United States. You will develop accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects, with documentation suitable for audit and program review.

This on-call, as-needed cadre position may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Ability to travel for field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating.
• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
• Review plans, specs, and cost docs to validate estimates and ensure audit readiness.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to define eligible work and costs.
• Maintain project documentation and cost analyses for rapid deployment.
