Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking experienced Cost Estimators to support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs nationwide.

You will develop accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects with strong documentation and compliance. This is an on-call, as-needed cadre position with assignments that may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices and project scopes.
• Ability to travel for field assignments.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to work independently with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating.
• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and general conditions estimates.
• Review engineering reports, plans, and cost documentation for accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and program staff.
• Maintain project records and supporting documentation as required.
