Job summary

The State of South Carolina, Office of Resilience, seeks two candidates for the Disaster Recovery Department to help survivors navigate the complex recovery process and access housing, health care and emotional support services within resource limits.

Role involves programmatic intake, needs assessment, and coordination with relief organizations and agencies to tailor recovery plans for each client.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant human services or social services experience.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for the required experience.
• Knowledge of SCOR's organization, community resources and public assistance programs.
• Ability to conduct interviews and surveys; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist disaster survivors in navigating the disaster recovery process.
• Programmatic intake of disaster survivors and assessing needs; connect with resources.
• Coordinate housing repairs, health care, and emotional support services.
• Develop personalized recovery plans with relief organizations and government agencies.
