Job summary

Tidal Basin is seeking a Case Manager to serve disaster survivors as the primary point of contact, assessing needs and helping develop Recovery Plans. Local candidates only.

The role requires coordinating services, building community relationships, and representing the organization at events. Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree, at least 1 year of publicly facing case management experience, data-entry skills, and the ability to clear a background check.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in social work, public administration, communications, or a related field
• Minimum of one year of experience in publicly facing case management
• Experience compiling and entering data is preferred
• Experience in event planning and public speaking is a plus
• Must be able to clear a criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Coordinating required services to address unmet needs and assessing when a case should be recommended for closure or reopening
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders
• Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and forums
• Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote organizational initiatives
• Gather and communicate community feedback to internal departments
• Coordinate and manage community engagement programs and activities
• Serve as a point of contact for community inquiries, concerns, and suggestions
• Facilitate open communication between the organization and the community
• Monitor community trends and issues to inform organizational planning
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with community needs
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are established and followed
• Complete required training including safety training
• Prepare reports on community engagement efforts and outcomes
