Job summary

The American Red Cross in New York, Bailey area seeks a Community Disaster Program Manager to oversee disaster services within the Western New York Region, including eight counties. You will guide staff and volunteers in preparedness, response, and recovery, and manage government partnerships to serve local communities.

Travel up to 25% is expected, with deployments and training as part of ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience.
• 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Travel up to 25% and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise volunteer-led disaster services programming.
• Lead disaster program staff and coordinate partnerships.
• Engage communities and partners to prepare for disasters.
• Deploy to disaster relief operations as needed.
